FS#406 - resource password storing

Hello,

I'd like my clients to have resource passwords stored somewhere (preferably user preferences, or user database entry), so that they don't have to enter the password repeatedly (and I don't want them stored in the po_options configuration field, as not all clients have access to all/the same password protected resources). Am I missing the way how to do it? Can it already be done? How?

Thanks a lot

Jiri

If a user is logged in, any resource passwords they enter should be stored in their preferences already. Not that I've explicitly tested that in a little while.

Another way is to assign the resource to a datebook event and that client to the same event; this way the client will always have access to that resource when they're logged in.

Sorry, it's coded in, but it was not working well in my case - in file "login.php", in function "res_password" on line 75, the syntax was wrong - the function being called - store_user_pref... had a wrong format - "$store_user_pref..." with the leading "$" - therefore it was not working. I have just checked the svn on the devel version and it's wrong there too, on line 76...

Cool, good catch. Fix applied to both trees.

Does it work for you now?
