Scan parameter: the choice of "bits" ends at 32 - it should go up to 48 bits, which is used by professional scans

I want to eliminate the use of a separate DB table for this (and other fields)... but even just adding another value would require a DB change, and that's not possible with the current install infrastructure.

Once we hit -rc status the DB is fixed, barring something majorly broken, as it breaks the upgrade path for those using -rc releases.
